With all the glamour and glitz portrayed in the movies and television programs today, the very young macho youngsters are all thinking of Becoming a Firefighter
But what these shows and movies do not show is what these poor brave and heroic guys and ladies have to go through.
I blame the producers for not showing the real hardships that they have to go through to get to that level of glory and heroism but also the fact that, that is not why they do it.
The pain and suffering they have to endure in their training and to keep up with that training so that they can be in their peak condition when the real thing happens as well as that heartbreak and ache when they, through no fault of their own either get there too late or cannot save even a single person out of a hundred they did save.
The loss of one of their own when they risk life and limb to save even the most unsavable but they tried as its the job, no cancel that, not their job, their calling, their life’s ambition.
