Cement Render Crack Repair Tips

Cement render is a popular material for both internal and external wall finishes. It is easy to apply, durable, and can give your home a great look. However, cement render is not infallible, and it can crack over time. If you have a cement render finish that has started to crack, don’t panic! There are a few things you can do to repair the crack and prevent it from happening again.

The first step in Cement Render Crack Repair is to clean the area around the crack. Use a brush or vacuum cleaner to remove any dust or debris from the surface. Once the area is clean, use a sharp object (like a needle or blade) to remove any loose material from the crack. Be careful not to make the crack any bigger in the process.

Once the loose material has been removed, you can start to repair the crack itself. There are a few different ways you can go about this, but we recommend using a two-part epoxy resin for best results. Simply mix together the two parts of the epoxy and then apply it to the crack using a putty knife or spatula. Smooth it out as best you can, and then leave it to dry for 24 hours.

Once the epoxy has dried, you can sand down the area around the crack until it is flush with the surrounding surface. Then, apply a new layer of cement renders over top of the repaired area.
